Fall on the farm with Farmer and Mrs P

I have been begging hubby for months to let me use one of his "toys" in the fall decor this year, and much to my surprise, he agreed.....take a look

This is Farmer P's 1952 chevy that he restored year's ago. He is a little picky with it.

This is Farmer and Mrs. P posing for farm pics.

You knew there would be a chick somewhere.....we are on a farm.

I found the old milk can in Farmer P's shop, and thought the mum dressed it up quite nicely. I saw the milk jug idea on another blog, and if I could remember which one, I would gladly give credit.

Farmer P doesn't smoke, but he thought he would be cool for a day.  He really dressed up for this picture, probably because of the truck.....he loves his old trucks. Yes, there are more that I am not allowed to play with. Do you like my apron? It was the only clean one I had for the pic. With fall weather upon us, I have been doing a lot of cooking (and eating).

These are all real pumpkins. I am going to plant every pumpkin seed I can find next year. I want lots!

I hope you enjoyed the pics of the old farm truck, and Farmer and Mrs. P.

More pumpkins scattered around the farm, with mums

Happy Fall from our farm to yours.

I want a truck like that. I'd be picky with mine too. It's the perfect backdrop, and all your touches just made me feel like maybe the weather was going to suddenly cool off. Well, sadly that's the air conditioner cooling me. But your pictures sure invoked an autumn attitude!

Farmer and Mrs P look quite happy among all "their pumpkins and flowers! Mr. Pumpkin Head was quite impressed with their ride! Red is his favorite color! Sadly, he travels by van, not nearly as stylish but it does get him from here to there!
Everything looks amazing.

I love, love, love your husband's truck. I want one, and wouldn't even mind if it weren't fixed up. I would like to haul dirt in the back and plant sunflowers in it. I would like to do a display just like this. What a fun fan vignette right in your yard. I have never had much luck with pumpkins, but I always buy a ton! Joni

Wow, what a great photo opp! You did some great decorating around that truck. How about a fall tailgate post?

Cathy Cobblestone said...

Well, I have absolutely no idea where to start - First, let me say thanks for stopping by and your kind words. Now let me say - your house is beautiful! I almost picked a house plan just like yours - it is simply gorgeous. Secondly - that red truck is like my DREAM truck. I always wanted one painted red with "Cobblestone Farms" written on the side. Thirdly - your red and white check on your chairs - LOVE IT! I have had red in my home for years - it is a color that no matter how many times I stray away from - I always go back to it! And lastly - those antlers on the boards. Now - they look all "pottery barnish"! My hubby is a hunter and I'm always afraid is gonna bring this huge thing in for me to hang on the wall - but these I could handle - no I actually REALLY like them. I can't wait to read your post on them. Well, I've just loved looking around - I'm adding you to my list! Thanks again and Happy Fall!

Sorry I'm so late in commenting -- where have I been...lol! I'm so glad Farmer P agreed to letting you use the pickup. It is so perfect with all of your Fall decor and so suits your beautiful home. Did you grow all those pumpkins? I'm impressed & just a teensy bit jealous -- we tried pumpkins but they started to cook long before they were bigger than a baseball ( you know, AZ desert climate being what it is). Our weather is getting nice now, finally!

xoxo,
Carol

I love all of your decorating. I really love the wood floors that you are putting down over the concrete. I am wanting to do something like that in my house and I wondered what type of flooring you are using. Are you having to use glue down flooring over the concrete?
